The Protocosm

Beside the microcosms (views into canon) and the macrocosm (expansion beyond it) sits one tier that precedes them both. The antecedent register: written in the Clifford epoch — before the Cosmopoiesis Engine, before the Translexicon, before the named-entity Translexicon — the proto-root the engine inherited its DNA from.

Its single entity-inhabitant is the Grimoire; its lineage is the Golden Thread, traced across human time. Neither is derived under any of the five methods, because both predate them. Gold was already φ, Iron already 1.106, before either was proven. The metals were always the math.
